Lyrowall is a former croft now extending to about four acres of gardens, paddocks, a house and outbuildings, amongst which is Lyrowall Gallery. Overlooking the Oyce of Quindry towards Hoxa Head, Flotta and the hills of Hoy, our vistas are among the most picturesque in this most panoramic land – Orkney. The conversion of our traditional Orkney workshop is now complete and visitors, both actual and virtual, can be assured of a pleasant and entertaining stay. We are situated just to the south of St. Margaret's Hope on the island of South Ronaldsay – a remarkably picturesque little port, teming with 'stuff'. There are three pubs, and award-winning restaurant, vernacular architecture, craft workshops and galleries and a veritable colony of artists, makers and musicians. Lyrowall Gallery is just off the Hoxa Road and is in walking distance of the Pentland Ferries terminal (the direct sea-link to mainland Scotland at Gill's Bay) at St. Margaret's Hope.
